Lagrein

Lagrein is a native red grape variety from Alto Adige, known for its deep color and robust character. It has a dark garnet-red color. The nose is intense, with aromas of blackberries, violets, and hints of earth and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and bold, featuring flavors of dark cherries, plums, and dark chocolate. The wine has firm tannins, bright acidity, and a long, persistent finish. Lagrein pairs well with grilled meats, game, hearty pasta dishes, and aged cheeses.
