Château d'Issan 2009 is a prestigious Margaux with a deep garnet color. The nose is rich and aromatic, offering notes of ripe blackberries, cassis, and plums, along with hints of violet, cedar, and spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with flavors of dark fruits, chocolate, and a touch of leather. The tannins are finely integrated, and the acidity provides a fresh, balanced finish. This vintage is currently accessible but will continue to develop gracefully with further aging. It pairs well with roasted meats, lamb dishes, and aged cheeses.
